Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
This summer-y smoothie is a little out of space in a world of apples, cinnamon, turkeys, spices and hot cocoa. Nevertheless it is super delicious and refreshing in this cold and grey winter world.
I’ve been wanting to share a smoothie recipe for a very long time. This is The Smoothie Lover after all. I really love smoothies. I like the fact that they are healthy and full of vitamins and still tastes so good! Yum. Especially the vitamins are good in the winter when we don’t get as many of them as we do in the summer time.
Thise lovely smoothie consists of nothing but banana, kale and blackcurrant. And no, you cannot taste the kale at all. It just makes the smoothie even healthier. Drink your greens!
The blackcurrant berries I used in this smoothie are from our very own garden. Remember this lovely shot from this summer? From the post about berries. I wish there still were tons of berries in our garden. But I still love the wintertime!
